Cauda Equina Syndrome is usually diagnosed through a combination of two methods: an urgent MRI and an assessment of clinical symptoms. Doctors will look for weaknesses in the lower limbs, bladder dysfunction, or bowel dysfunction, and they will consider these symptoms alongside the MRI results to determine whether Cauda Equina Syndrome is present.
