Cauda Equina Syndrome can be caused in many different ways. It may result from a slipped disc, a tumor, or an infection, and in some cases it can occur without a clear cause. Any pressure on the nerves at the base of the spinal cord can lead to spinal cord problems and, ultimately, cauda equina injuries.
