Aspire Law, the leading UK law firm specialising solely in spinal cord injury cases, is pleased to announce our partnership with Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research (SMSR) as an Ambassador for the charity for their tenth anniversary. With around 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK, SMSR is an independent national charity that focuses on promoting quality of life for people with spinal cord injury through research.
As an ambassador for SMSR, Aspire Law will be supporting the charity’s priority areas, which include Assistive Technology primarily for Upper Limb function, Neuropathic Pain, Pressure Ulcers, and Urinary Tract Infections. These priority areas are crucial in deepening the understanding and dissemination of best practices in the field, leading to new treatments and therapies that will improve the quality of life for people living with SCI.
Founded in 2006, SMSR has achieved several milestones since its inception, including the establishment of the ‘Top 10 Research Priorities for Spinal Cord Injury’ and the opening of the Applied Neurolab in the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) at Stoke Mandeville, to enable research into core areas.
Aspire Law, which specialises in bringing legal claims for individuals who sustain spinal cord injuries, is committed to supporting SMSR’s research goals and contributing to the charity’s vision of enabling people with spinal cord injury to have life after paralysis without debilitating health complications.
The partnership between Aspire Law and SMSR aims to raise awareness of the charity’s work and inspire others to get involved in supporting research into spinal cord injury. As an ambassador for SMSR, Aspire Law is committed to helping the charity achieve its goals and make a positive impact on the lives of people living with SCI.
