Aspire Law scores a hat-trick of awards!

The Lawyer Awards

Aspire Law has been shortlisted for no less than 3 prestigious legal industry awards since January this year.

In March they were shortlisted for an innovation award by the Managing Partners Forum, and in April were shortlisted for the Future of Legal Services Innovation Award by Legal Week magazine.

This week Aspire Law has made the shortlist for yet another award, this time hosted by the Lawyer Magazine. The firm is competing in the category of Alternative Business Structure of the year and faces stiff competition from 5 other firms in the same category including Radiant Law, Knights and Gunner Cooke.

Alternative Business Structures, or ABSs as they are known, are a new type of legal entity made possible by the Legal Services Act of 2007. They differ from a traditional law firm because they allow for an element of ownership, investment or management by non lawyers.

ABS come in all shapes and sizes delivering a wide range of legal services, and whilst there is no one firm alike, they are generally considered to be in the vanguard for driving the pace of legal service innovation and delivery.

Aspire Law was formed in November 2014 and is a joint venture between Moore Blatch LLP, a firm recognised for its personal injury work, and Aspire, the national charity that supports people with Spinal Cord Injury.

Aspire Law is the only law firm in the UK to specialise exclusively in spinal cord injury compensation claims, and through this unique collaboration with Aspire, the charity will receive 50% of the profits generated by the firm to reinvest in the charitable work that it does.

As the firm grows in size, this investment will increase and the charity will develop an independent and sustainable source of income that it can use to support those people living with Spinal Cord Injury.

Since the official launch in 2014, Aspire has gone from strength to strength and now represents clients across the length and breadth of the UK, and over the next few months the firm will look to increase headcount and office space to cope with the increase in demand. Over the next 3 years, Aspire Law aims to become the go to law firm for all spinal cord injury compensation claims.

Legal Director at Aspire Law, Damian Horan, said:

"Being shortlisted for 3 awards in this space of time is really pleasing and is testament not only to all the hard work that our team have put in, but also recognises that the service that we have designed will genuinely make a huge difference to people across the UK who have sustained a spinal cord injury."

The winner of the Alternative Business Structure of the year will be announced at the awards ceremony which takes place on June 23rd at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
