Tree surgeon secures compensation
Mr PL was working with a team cutting down a tree when a branch from the tree fell on him causing him to be paralysed from the waist down. The Defendant denied liability but invested in our client’s claim under the Rehabilitation Code 2015 which included for the joint instruction of a Spinal Cord Case Manager who organised for our client to move into an Aspire Charity Property whilst his own house was being adapted, obtained equipment, and therapies.
We obtained evidence from an expert Arborist to support what was our case on liability and experts on quantum to support the value of the claim. Advice was obtained from a financial advisor on the structure of any settlement. The parties met at a Joint Settlement Meeting where the case settled.
