Tetraplegic injured in changing room at leisure centre
Mr JW was left tetraplegic following a slip in a changing room at a leisure centre. Liability was denied by the Defendant contending that the floor of the changing room was suitably designed, maintained and inspected.
After extensive investigation by Matthew it was determined that the floor was poorly maintained of which the Defendant was aware and required replacement. Legal proceedings were issued and the Defendant admitted liability. Interim payments were obtained to maximise our client’s rehabilitation which included for additional therapy, the purchase of a new vehicle, a hot tub, a stepped up support team and alterations to the property. The case concluded shortly after a Joint Settlement Meeting and prior to a Trial listed at the High Court.
