Compensation following an accident at work
Mr BB was working on top of a logistics lorry filled with fruit when he was caused to fall from the top of the lorry trailer to suffer an ASIA D injury. A claim for compensation was brought against two Defendants who both denied liability but also blamed each other.
In order to narrow the issues we persuaded both Defendants to attend a meeting where liability for the incident was resolved and interim payments were agreed. After liability being resolved the parties could then support our client to access rehabilitation and expert evidence on quantum was gathered. A second Joint Settlement Meeting on quantum was organised where a settlement on compensation was agreed which included for an Award of Provisional Damages whereby the client could return to the Defendants at a later date should his symptoms worsen.
