The plant sale is being held in support of Horatio’s Garden, a charity that creates and maintains beautiful gardens in NHS spinal injury centres across the UK. Aspire Law is a long-standing partner of Horatio’s Garden South West, and our contributions so far has helped the charity to continue its vital work in supporting people after spinal injury. The plant sale at Longford Castle is the latest event to be sponsored by Aspire Law, and promises to be a wonderful opportunity for visitors to purchase rare and unusual perennials and support a great cause at the same time.
The plant sale will feature perennials from Horatio’s Garden Chelsea, which were grown in the UK especially for the garden by award-winning designers Harris Bugg Studio. Visitors will have the chance to purchase a wide variety of stunning and rare large perennials, including contemporary favourites such as Geums, Sanguisorba, Rodgersia, Baptisia, irises and lilies, as well as unusual species of aquilegia, ranunculus, and thalictrum. Grass species will also be for sale, alongside unusual hydrangeas and roses.
All profits from the plant sale will go towards supporting Horatio’s Garden, which provides a vital source of support for people after spinal injury. The charity creates beautiful, accessible gardens in NHS spinal injury centres across the UK, providing a space for patients and their families to relax and recover. The gardens also offer a range of horticultural therapy sessions, which have been shown to have a positive impact on the mental and physical wellbeing of people after spinal injury.
In addition to the plant sale, visitors to Longford Castle will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the stunning grounds of the estate, which is the private ancestral seat of the Radnor family. Although the formal gardens will not be open for this event, visitors will still be able to experience the beauty of the estate, which has been the home of the Countess of Radnor and her family for over 300 years.
Aspire Law’s support for the plant sale at Longford Castle demonstrates our commitment to supporting people after spinal injury. By sponsoring this event, Aspire Law hopes to help raise vital funds for Horatio’s Garden, and ensure that the charity can continue to provide support to people after spinal injury for many years to come.
